Job Summary
We are seeking a Vice President of Facility Management to lead our central and western Canada (Ontario to British Columbia) and the United States operations. As a key member of our Management Committee, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of our profit center, driving growth, and implementing policies in areas such as Health and Safety, Cybersecurity, and Ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect our most valuable asset, our people, and ensure compliance with company rules.
- Lead a professional team dedicated to safety, quality, and customer service, driving a strong employee culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with support departments to ensure seamless delivery of customer-facing and back-office services.
- Manage all aspects of delivery, including recruitment, resourcing, inventory, supplier management, finance, health and safety, environment, contract management, quality, and customer relations.
- Establish strategic plans in line with customer values and needs, collaborating with business development teams.
- Represent the company, maintaining close links with customer executives, and ensuring contract renewals while protecting company and shareholder interests.
- Develop relationships with senior customer decision-makers to align their needs with Equans capabilities and control outcomes.
- Have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for the business, including annual budget process, forecasting, investments, and cash position.
- Meet business plan and shareholders' requirements, monitoring cash management, and managing all risks.
- Set strategic vision, foster a customer-centric team culture, and manage team performance, leading the annual objectives process.
Requirements
- Recognized leadership experience in a multisite, multicultural environment and some knowledge of facility management activities.
- Ability to manage and motivate a large geographically dispersed team.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in profitably growing a business.
- At least ten years of experience in a business profit center role.
- Knowledge of facility management and capacity to understand technical situations (technical background preferred).
- Proven capacity to develop the business with a strategic mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop long-term relationships at a senior level.
- Ability to engage teams over the long term.
- Able to coordinate multiple key initiatives at the same time.
- Financial skills and expertise in managing a Profit Center.
- Ability to travel regularly in Canada and the United States, and occasionally in Europe.
- Able to obtain security clearances associated with different levels of governments.
- Must be fluent in English (oral & written).
