Your Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant, Risk Advisory Services to join our team in Ottawa. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and analyzing emerging trends and risks in the management, business, risk, legal, environmental, social, and governance landscapes.
- Developing strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities for our clients.
- Collaborating with engagement teams to plan and deliver internal audits and other related risk advisory projects.
- Gathering and reviewing relevant information to inform risk assessments and the development of audit programs.
- Supporting engagement teams in the development of high-quality client deliverables.
- Building positive working relationships with clients and identifying improvements for future assignments.
- Maintaining a proactive and logical approach to information gathering and analysis, presenting complex ideas clearly through writing and speaking.
- Ensuring high-quality client service through daily progress of fieldwork and communication of updates to both Managers and fellow staff.
- Demonstrating and applying strong project management skills, work collaboratively with team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and quality of deliverables and services.
- Soliciting and applying feedback from Managers and peers to enhance the quality and efficiency of future engagements.
- Assisting Managers with business development proposals to existing and new clients.
- Assisting Managers in developing/refreshing methodologies related to existing and new solutions and services.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a candidate with:
- A relevant post-secondary program or degree/diploma.
- Completed or pursuing professional designation (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.).
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in an internal audit, risk, or related setting.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to diagnose project issues, build solutions, and draft impactful communications for clients.
- Government of Canada security clearance.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
