BDO Canada LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant, Risk Advisory Services to join our Risk Advisory team in Ottawa.
The Risk Advisory team identifies and assesses the most significant risks facing our clients, providing expert advice and guidance to help them navigate these challenges.
As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for analyzing new and emerging trends in risk management, business, and governance, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with engagement teams to plan and deliver internal audits and risk advisory projects
- Gathering and reviewing relevant information to inform risk assessments and audit programs
- Supporting engagement teams in the development of high-quality client deliverables
- Maintaining a proactive and logical approach to information gathering and analysis, presenting complex ideas clearly through writing and speaking
- Ensuring high-quality client service through daily progress of fieldwork and communication of updates to Managers and fellow staff
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in internal audit, risk, or related setting
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
- Strong project management skills, with ability to work collaboratively with team members and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and quality of deliverables and services
