Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team, and contribute to the development and implementation of care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences and needs.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to promote person-centered care and ensure patient autonomy.
  • Participate in the care and discharge planning process, ensuring effective communication with the interprofessional care team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on health promotion, illness prevention, and health maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers, as well as members of the interprofessional care team.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
