Position Title: Indigenous Harm Reduction Educator

Location: Lheidl T'enneh (Prince George), BC

In the role of Indigenous Educator for Harm Reduction, you will work under the guidance of the Regional Manager for Mental Health & Wellness. This position is pivotal in advancing the implementation of regional strategies aimed at addressing opioid use and overdose incidents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide educational resources and training focused on harm reduction to the community.

This role necessitates collaboration with various stakeholders, including provincial teams, Health Directors, First Nation leadership, and both federal and provincial health partners to ensure a cohesive approach to health and wellness.

Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Indigenous harm reduction initiatives
- A solid understanding of trauma-informed care principles and the effects of colonization on health
