We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at the Aids Prevention Program in Prince George. As a Harm Reduction Nurse, you will provide compassionate patient care to individuals living with physical and mental health needs, substance use disorder(s), and/or facing structural barriers to care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide health care services such as physical, psychosocial and substance use assessment, HIV, HCV and STI education, testing and treatment, medication administration and titration, overdose response, and support and referral to other health and social services.
- Contribute to the development of client-specific care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, other health care professionals, and community services to address clients' complex needs.
- Employ BCCNM Decision Support Tools for RN Certified practice appropriately.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant.
- Completion of approved addictions or substance use training or certificate program, and one year's recent related experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- BCCNM certified practice in the areas STI Management and/or RN First Call is an asset.
- Current approved Standard First Aid Certificate and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR) level C.
