About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team at NOREX VENTURES INC. as a key member of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure the condition of the vehicle is optimal, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to company protocols and regulations.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless coordination with our logistics team.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency roadside repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal service delivery.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Work Environment: Work in various locations, with a focus on attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: Work a standard 40-hour week, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
