Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Policy Coordinator to join our Credit Insurance Underwriting group. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating international trade by assisting our customers in protecting themselves against the risk of non-payment from foreign companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of insurance solutions provided by the Credit Insurance group
  • Collaborate with underwriters and other stakeholders to support the acquisition of new business and growth of premium
  • Maximize the retention of existing business and conversion rate of new offers while ensuring compliance with processes and guidelines
  • Leverage systems to create capacity to support growth and execution of key priorities
  • Produce team reports and broker reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Optimize program underwriting, review, and credit SLAs
  • Share capacity openly
  • Review, vet, and populate credit insurance applications in the corporate system of record
  • Prepare transactions within specified parameters, policies, and guidelines
  • Manage data in customer management systems and support data quality management
  • Support lead development, nurturing efforts, and post-transaction activities
  • Ensure proper documentation of communications with intermediaries
  • Follow up with partners and stakeholders on requirements pertaining to documents
  • Provide information to EDC's stakeholders while adhering to processes to avoid confidential information breaches
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes to ensure optimal and value-added service to customers

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an administrative field with exceptional customer service
  • Strong knowledge in the operation of computer applications and ability to work with computer-based applications
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and French

Assets

  • Undergraduate University degree or College degree
  • Knowledge of Underwriting and Credit Insurance processes
  • Experience in managing customer relations
  • Experience in a corporate or financial service setting

Salary Range

  • Regional Policy Coordinator (Credit Insurance Operations 12): Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $44,370 to $59,160.
  • Senior Regional Policy Coordinator (Credit Insurance Operations 14): Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $55,657 to $74,210.

Location

  • EDC is a hybrid work environment.
  • This role may be performed from EDC's headquarters or from a Community Hub in various locations.
  • Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
