Position Overview

Objective

We are seeking a seasoned engineering professional to lead our capital strategy vision and master plan development. This role involves steering the long-range capital planning program, managing the annual capital budget, and ensuring financial compliance. You will lead a team of engineers to execute capital projects related to facilities, utilities, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership to the Project Engineering team, encompassing personnel management, training, organizational structure, and project oversight.
  • Direct the strategic planning for the upcoming fiscal year's capital initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage the annual site capital budget and departmental financial plans.
  • Deliver capital plan last best estimates (LBE) in accordance with the established timelines set by finance and project accounting.
  • Make informed decisions regarding project priorities to meet financial targets and support business objectives while managing lifecycle costs.
  • Administer asset management, project lifecycle, and energy sustainability initiatives.
  • Drive the development and submission of the site capital long-range plan.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures, guaranteeing compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
  • Maintain the Technical Library with required engineering and commissioning documents and ensure the CAD drawing repository is current.
  • Oversee capital project definition, request capital expenditure (RCE) development, engineering cost estimation, design integration, construction oversight, and compliance with commissioning and qualification standards.

Required Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, or a closely related field is preferred, or equivalent technical experience with a minimum of 10 years of significant engineering and/or operational experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the Biopharma sector, showcasing consistent technical contributions and achievements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with Senior Management and various teams within Allergan, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with financial systems and fiscal management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Outlook), AutoCAD, SAP, among others.
  • Possess a robust technical understanding and application of concepts, practices, and procedures, and capable of addressing complex problems involving multiple competing factors.
