{"Role Summary": "We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Counsellor I to join our Family Connections team at Wood\u0027s Homes. As a key member of our team, you will provide family support services to children and families in our care, including in-home support, school liaison, and community coordination as needed.", "Responsibilities": "\u2022 Completes program-related assessment process and jointly establishes goals and areas of focus.\u2022 Advocates for the family and supports the development of a network of resources with the family, community, and other involved professionals.\u2022 Provides parent skills training and individual and family counselling.\u2022 Attends to the safety of all family members by intervening directly in crisis situations and providing follow-up care as required.\u2022 Participates in weekly supervision, case reviews, clinical rounds, and team meetings to ensure effective Family Support services.\u2022 Reports workplace hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, or incidents to their direct supervisor.\u2022 Performs other duties as assigned.", "Qualifications": "\u2022 Degree required in one of the Human Sciences, Childcare, or a related field.\u2022 Minimum two to four years\u0027 experience working with infants, children, and/or adolescents, and families.\u2022 Family and in-home support experience preferred.\u2022 Case Management experience is preferred.\u2022 Must have a full, non-GDL class 5 driver\u0027s license and own transportation.\u2022 Personal suitability.", "About Us": "Wood\u0027s Homes is a not-for-profit mental health centre based in Calgary, with locations across Alberta.
