Youth Connections Specialist

Job Summary

Wood's Homes is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Youth and Family Counsellor. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality services to children, youth, and families in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain a safe and supportive environment that fosters personal and social growth for each client.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, supervisory sessions, and training to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans for children, youth, and families, including attendance at case conferences and involvement in intervention strategies.
  • Ensure the upkeep of the living space and maintain a program that meets licensing requirements.
  • Provide transportation, meal preparation, and other tasks associated with program functioning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or related field, with a minimum of two to four years of experience.
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Experience working with young people is preferred.
  • Proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
  • Class 5 driver's license and own transportation.
