Inventory Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planner to join our team at Martinrea International Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain, from raw material procurement to delivery to our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels, ensuring that raw materials and components are available when needed.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials, and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems, including the use of ERP software.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports on inventory levels, supplier performance, and other key metrics, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Education: Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as supply chain management or business administration.
- Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and experience with ERP software.
- Work Environment: 80% office environment, 20% plant floor (PPE required).
- Decision Making and Authority: Responsible for making decisions on inventory levels, supplier selection, and process improvements, with oversight from the Supply Chain Operations Manager.
- Job Requirements: Prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing, with the ability to lift up to 35lbs and work with push-pull forces of 50lbs or less.
- Responsibilities: Work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies, and procedures, and use or wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
