Position Overview
We are in search of a meticulous Payroll Specialist with a robust foundation in General Ledger (GL) and accounting methodologies. The successful candidate will possess practical experience with Ceridian Dayforce and will be skilled in managing payroll accounting and reconciliation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management and Accounting:
• Supervise payroll transaction processing within Ceridian Dayforce.
• Ensure precise GL entries associated with payroll and address any discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries related to payroll and assist in month-end closing procedures.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Evaluate payroll data for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Create management reports, including variance analyses and payroll summaries.
• Facilitate internal and external audits by supplying required payroll data and documentation.
Regulatory Compliance and Reconciliation:
• Uphold compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Reconcile payroll accounts to guarantee accurate financial transaction recording.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to integrate payroll data into financial systems.
System Oversight:
• Employ Ceridian Dayforce for all payroll-related functions.
• Work alongside IT and HR to improve payroll system capabilities and efficiencies.
• Engage in system upgrades and testing to promote ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting.
• Proficient in Ceridian Dayforce with a solid understanding of payroll best practices.
• Strong grasp of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous.
