About This Role

In this position, you will serve as a vital business partner to various departments, including Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial Finance, Master Data, and Transportation. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the accuracy of standard costs for both raw materials and finished goods. Additionally, you will ensure that material master data and sourcing matrix information are correctly gathered and submitted, while variances are thoroughly reviewed. You will also play a significant role in the collection, analysis, and evaluation of costings for both new and existing products, contributing to monthly forecasting, reporting, and annual business planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain standard costs associated with Bill of Materials (BOM), sourcing matrix, marketing credits, activity rates, and purchased finished goods.
  • Conduct validations, analyses, and audits of standard costs to guarantee the precision of material master data, sourcing matrix, and BOM, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Verify cost accounting-related data for new material master data created for innovations and collaborate with relevant teams for necessary corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of costing information, communicating changes to pertinent stakeholders.
  • Review and analyze SAP cost rolls to detect and rectify any inaccuracies and to estimate inventory revaluation.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reconciliation of cost of goods sold across various systems utilized by the company.
  • Execute month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost of goods sold and purchase price variances, including journal entries, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and account reconciliations, while maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and controls.
  • Develop weekly reports to identify potential discrepancies in standard costing.
  • Perform volume/price/mix analysis, financial impact analysis, and change analysis of standard costs.
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring timely and accurate updates to costing.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding supplier pricing and costing structures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel functionalities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt workload and hours as required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SAP in MM (Materials Management), Product Costing, FI-CO (GL/AR/Inventory/AP), and CO-PA (Controlling - Profitability Analysis) is advantageous.
  • Experience in cost accounting with SAP is beneficial.
  • CPA designation is considered an asset.
