At CPP Investments, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst of Cost Analytics to support our operational strategy and align with financial objectives. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for implementing enterprise-wide key performance indicators, executing departmental and project financial plans, and independently executing month-end financial closing activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain cost models, trends analysis, and dashboards using various tools to extract, manipulate, and understand data.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reporting and analysis for departments and initiatives, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
- Support the Finance Business Partners by partnering with departments and Product Owners to produce annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost allocation methodologies and reporting.
- Contribute to system changes and upgrades by providing input into requirements and coordinating or executing user acceptance testing.
- Prepare documentation to support reviews conducted and demonstrate compliance with internal policies and procedures, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience (3-5 years) in preparing budget, forecasts, and ex-post cost variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of asset management companies or financial institutions with a commercial approach to decision-making.
- Exemplify CPP Investments' Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership, and high performance.
- Demonstrate curiosity in understanding business processes and finding ways to continuously improve.
- Apply critical thinking to resolve operational issues and timely escalation of emerging risks or issues to leaders.
- Solid problem-solving skills with experience in automation tools, data manipulation software, or planning software.
