Job Summary:

The Healthcare Support Worker will provide support to individuals in a home, residence, group home or other facility, assisting with daily activities and domestic tasks. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team to identify the needs of the user and develop a service plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist users with daily activities, such as hygiene, well-being, and comfort
  • Prepare meals and perform domestic tasks
  • Report observations on user needs to team members and supervisors
  • Collaborate with other workers to identify user needs and develop service plans
  • Provide specific care and support as trained

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • DEP in Homecare or equivalent
  • Three to four years of related experience (alternative profile)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Cree and English
  • Fluency in French is an asset
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to write short reports
  • Organizational skills and keen sense of observation

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional after-hours availability
  • Valid driver's permit class 4B
