Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Lynette Pagkaliwangan. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Assist with regular exercise, such as walking, to promote physical health and mobility
  • Feed or assist with feeding, ensuring a balanced diet and hydration
  • Mend clothing and linens, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in activities and conversations to promote mental well-being
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring a steady supply of essentials
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, promoting healthy eating habits
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing care and support to individuals in their homes. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Language

The primary language of work is English or French, and you must be proficient in one of these languages to be considered for this role.Hours of Work

This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.
