Job Title: Senior Director Corporate Communications

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director Corporate Communications to join our team at the City of Windsor. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive corporate communications strategy that showcases our city's vision, values, and achievements.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement a corporate communications strategy that aligns with the city's goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of communications professionals to create and disseminate engaging content across various channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including City Council, senior executives, and external partners.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage and coordinate the city's communication activities, including media relations, social media, and crisis communications.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate communications, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
