Clinical Laboratory Specialist

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is currently looking for qualified candidates for the role of Clinical Laboratory Specialist.
Essential Qualifications:
- Certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent body.
- Active registration or eligibility as a Medical Laboratory Technologist with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario, including authorization to practice in relevant Laboratory Medicine specialties.
- A minimum of two years' experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems (e.g., Cerner);
- Capability to work independently with minimal oversight;
- Willingness to commit to 12-hour shifts;
- Proven accuracy, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively;
- Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships within healthcare teams;
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Commitment to personal, patient, and staff safety;
- Demonstrated reliability in regular attendance;
- Adherence to patient privacy and confidentiality standards.
Additional Conditions:
- Availability to work various shifts as required, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Work hours may vary based on the operational needs of Laboratory Services and the hospital.
- Compensation according to the Non-Union Salary Schedule (ranging from $36.84 to $50.24 per hour).
