About the Role

Carter's is a leading apparel retailer for babies and young children, and we're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Associate to join our team. As a key member of our merchandising team, you will play a crucial support role in ensuring the smooth operation of our product lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buying Support Functions:
    • Manage product information on Seasonal Line Sheets in Flex PLM for Canada
    • Create and maintain product styles in Flex PLM for Canada
    • Ensure price accuracy across all systems
    • Apply packing codes to all products
    • Maintain bulk purchase orders for both brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce
    • Create and maintain Monthly Flow Visual Boards in InDesign
    • Enter data for all promotions in Forecast Horizon
    • Enter purchase orders for outside vendors
  • Collaborative Responsibilities:
    • Support Product Category Manager and outside vendor calendar timelines, tasks, and requests
    • Prioritize workload in partnership with the Product Category Manager to accomplish daily and weekly tasks and deadlines
    • Collaborate with the merchant team and cross-functional partners
Requirements
  • Must have:
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat)
    • Excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills
    • Multitasking, decisiveness, team orientation, and ability to work well with cross-functional partners
    • Knowledge of retail math and analytics, merchandising principles, and product knowledge
    • Attention to detail
  • Preferred skills and experience:
    • Secondary education or equivalent experience preferred
    • 1+ years of retail experience required
