About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at AZ Quality Foods Courtenay Ltd. as a Sales Associate - Cashier. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized cash handling area.
  • Process Payments: Count and reconcile cash, process credit and debit card transactions, and handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Scan Items: Accurately scan products, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Tabulate Payments: Calculate total payments, handle returns and exchanges, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide product information in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
