About the Role
The Store Manager is a key leadership position at Ardene, responsible for overseeing all store operations and driving sales and profitability. This role requires a vibrant and highly motivated leader with a passion for fashion retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the District Supervisor to develop and implement strategies to achieve the store's sales and profit budgets.
- Team Development: Train store team members on company standards and programs, and take action on low performance with the support of the District Supervisor.
- Customer Service: Handle customer complaints and resolve them in a timely manner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Operations Management: Perform opening and closing procedures, ensure health and safety standards are adhered to, and manage employee weekly schedules.
- Merchandising and Inventory: Process and manage all incoming merchandising shipments, and handle returns to head office as required.
- Employee Management: Recruit and retrain talent, motivate team members, and recognize good performance.
- Administrative Duties: Conduct administrative and operational duties as required, and comply with all head office requests regarding store operations.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years retail management experience.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills: Solid business acumen, proven people development skills, ability to assess talent, and strong time management and priority-setting skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, climb a ladder, move, lift, and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures (weighing up to 30 pounds).
- Availability: Days, evenings, and weekends.
