Position Overview

The Senior Human Resources Manager for Manufacturing Operations is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support within a production facility. This dynamic and hands-on role is essential in fostering a performance-oriented culture by implementing HR strategies and initiatives tailored to the manufacturing environment. The position collaborates closely with the production team on key HR projects and oversees the management of labor relations, recruitment, staffing, benefits, compensation, affirmative action, employee relations, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage talent acquisition processes, including workforce planning, recruitment, performance evaluation, employee development, and succession planning in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure organizational effectiveness and health within the manufacturing setting.
  • Enhance employee performance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance to the manufacturing facility, aligning HR practices with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to monitor scheduling and overtime requirements.
  • Oversee essential HR administrative functions.
  • Manage compliance with governmental reporting requirements.
  • Work in conjunction with payroll to ensure accurate employee compensation and resolve any arising issues.
  • Assess current HR practices and propose innovative solutions to contemporary HR challenges.
  • Foster a culture of high employee engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional HR experience in a continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in HR systems and technology.
  • Possession of a CHRP certification is required.
  • Experience working in a unionized setting.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
