Banquet Event Coordinator

**Job Summary**
The Banquet Supervisor is a key member of the Westwood Plateau team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of banquets and events. This is a seasonal part-time position with the possibility of full-time work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute banquets and events, ensuring timely execution and high-quality service.
- Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports for the F&B Management team, highlighting event successes and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding menu planning and execution.
- Accurately charge all invoiced items to the event account.
- Secure the building at the end of each event.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Management team.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in banquet and/or restaurant supervision, preferably in a hotel and/or restaurant setting.
- Serving It Right license is mandatory; Foodsafe certification is an asset.
- Reliable transportation is essential, as public transit is limited in the area.
- Availability to work a minimum of three shifts per week, including one weekend day (Friday-Sunday). Open availability is preferred.
- Willingness to undergo training for lower positions (server, bartender, setter, BSA) prior to starting as a supervisor.
- Ability to work late shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Age 18 or older, due to the requirement for alcohol service.
