We are seeking a skilled Air Quality Engineer to leverage your expertise in environmental consulting to develop innovative and effective solutions. A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering is essential, along with relevant coursework in Air Quality. This position is aimed at an intermediate-level professional eager to contribute to our Air Quality initiatives.

Department Overview
As an Air Quality Engineer, you will be integrated into our Environment & Health department, collaborating with a diverse team based in Ontario that serves clients across Canada and internationally. You will engage with professionals ranging from entry-level to seasoned experts, many of whom are recognized authorities in their respective fields. Our environment promotes continuous learning through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing industrial air emissions inventories
- Conducting meteorological processing, air dispersion modeling, and preparing air permit applications
- Applying process and mechanical engineering principles to design industrial ventilation and air pollution control systems
- Performing field measurements and evaluations of industrial ventilation and emissions control systems
- Assisting in proposal development, technical presentations, and client interactions
Qualifications for Success
To thrive in this role, we expect you to have:
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering
- Strong technical abilities coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient field skills
- Experience managing technically complex projects
- The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
- Capability to obtain or possess an Ontario P.Eng. designation
- 4-8 years of relevant experience, including skills in proposal writing, report generation, project management, and client engagement
