About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fundraising Specialist to join our team at Queen's University. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in securing funding for our institution's priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategies
    • Design and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet or exceed annual targets
    • Identify and cultivate key relationships with donors, alumni, and community partners
  • Communicate Effectively
    • Develop and deliver compelling proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Manage Donor Relationships
    • Provide exceptional donor service and stewardship to ensure long-term relationships
    • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities through research and prospecting
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams
    • Work closely with colleagues across the university to advance fundraising goals and objectives
    • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives that align with the university's mission and priorities
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., fundraising, marketing, communications)
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
