Key Responsibilities- Develop Communication Strategies
You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to engage with donors, stakeholders, and the broader community. This will involve creating compelling content, managing social media channels, and developing targeted marketing campaigns.
Implement Fundraising ProgramsYou will work closely with our development team to implement fundraising programs, including annual giving campaigns, major gifts initiatives, and planned giving strategies. This will involve researching and identifying potential donors, developing relationships, and securing gifts to support the university's priorities.
Perform Administrative TasksYou will provide administrative support to the development team, including managing databases, tracking donations, and preparing reports. This will involve working closely with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Coordinate Special EventsYou will be responsible for coordinating special events, including galas, auctions, and other fundraising initiatives. This will involve working closely with our events team to plan and execute successful events that engage donors and stakeholders.
Prepare Funding ApplicationsYou will work closely with our research team to prepare funding applications, including grant proposals and reports. This will involve researching and identifying potential funding opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and securing funding to support the university's research priorities.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree
You will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as marketing, communications, or business.
3-5 Years of ExperienceYou will have 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related field. This will include experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing relationships with donors and stakeholders, and securing gifts to support organizational priorities.
Post-Secondary Educational Institution ExperienceYou will have experience working in a post-secondary educational institution, including experience in fundraising, development, or a related field.
Valid Driver's LicenceYou will have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
Security ClearanceYou will have a valid security clearance, including a criminal record check and a valid passport.
