The Role

We are looking for driven and talented individuals to join our expanding team as a Valuation Associate. This role is perfect for those who have a keen interest in finance, accounting, and legal matters, and who aspire to build a career in valuation and litigation support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Valuation Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Drafting engagement proposals and assisting in the planning and budgeting phases;
  2. Managing information requests and maintaining accurate records of documents received;
  3. Identifying critical issues and methodologies relevant to each assignment;
  4. Reviewing financial, legal, and corporate documentation;
  5. Conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses of the reviewed information;
  6. Developing schedules and constructing models for valuations and economic loss assessments;
  7. Performing research related to valuations, including industry data, macroeconomic trends, and public company valuation multiples;
  8. Analyzing case law pertinent to valuation and loss quantification;
  9. Assisting in the preparation of business valuation and expert reports;
  10. Evaluating and providing feedback on reports prepared by other professionals;
  11. Maintaining regular communication with team members regarding engagement progress;
  12. Engaging with clients, counsel, and their advisors throughout the assignment;
  13. Preparing final documents to efficiently conclude files.

Candidate Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  2. Progress towards a professional designation in accounting and/or finance is a significant advantage;
  3. A minimum of one year of relevant experience, such as financial statement analysis.
