Position Overview
Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Clinical Programs Administrative Coordinator.
VCH is seeking a dedicated Clinical Programs Administrative Coordinator to become a vital part of the Medical Imaging Administration team. This role is essential in enhancing the operational efficiency of our clinical programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the management team to refine administrative processes and maximize the utilization of human and financial resources within the program.
- Act as a representative for the Manager, ensuring the timely completion of processes and transactional activities related to human capital and financial management, while adhering to directives from Human Resources, Finance, and other organizational departments.
- Oversee employee onboarding and orientation, partnering with Human Resources to develop effective staff scheduling, ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards, and prepare analytical reports to support the Manager in performance management and employee attendance.
- Conduct comprehensive benchmarking analyses regarding human capital and financial resource utilization, as well as patient/client care productive hours and workload activities.
- Prepare insightful analyses and recommendations for the Manager and leadership team, focusing on human and financial resource metrics such as overtime and vacancy rates to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Serve as a liaison with Human Resources, Finance, Facilities, IMIT, and other organizational partners to share information and advocate for the program's interests.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Completion of a recognized diploma or degree program in business administration, health administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent, relevant experience in a complex healthcare setting, with progressively responsible roles in administration, information analysis, and benchmarking, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, promoting services with a sensitivity to diversity and an indigenous perspective.
- Commitment to recognizing, including, and supporting all forms of diversity throughout all engagement stages, with an understanding of the challenges faced by equity-deserving groups.
- Demonstrated negotiation and diplomacy skills, along with a talent for engaging and empowering stakeholders.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, OH&S standards, and best practices in human resources.
- Exceptional organizational and administrative capabilities, with experience in workforce management software and HR information systems.
- Proficiency in analyzing and reporting HR and financial metrics.
- Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
