As a Solutions Architect at Palo Alto Networks, your goal will be to cultivate influential relationships with key technical decision-makers among our clients. By establishing these trusted connections, you will be in a prime position to identify new opportunities that address customer challenges and drive their business objectives.

Your Contributions

  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients, collaborating with your Account Manager and local partners within your region.
  • Inform customers about industry trends and significant changes in the security landscape that they must be aware of.
  • Demonstrate security best practices and desired outcomes by developing technical proof of concepts and educating clients on the value of Prisma Cloud.
  • Serve as the technical representative for Sales concerning security and compliance in Public Cloud environments (Alicloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform).
  • Build relationships with technical teams in channel partners essential for successful deployments and cloud security.
  • Facilitate customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor analysis, and R&D to inform requirements and enhance product features for our clients.
  • Anticipate travel approximately twice a month for internal events and industry conferences related to cloud security and DevSecOps.

Qualifications

Your Background

  • A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, including military experience, is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years in technical sales or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager) and CI/CD tools (e.g., IDEs, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, specifically in configuring and managing security features and services (including identity and access management, networking, firewalls, encryption).
  • A background in security, particularly cloud security, is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

The Team Dynamics

The Solutions Architect is aligned with one or more Sales Specialists. As part of the Prisma Cloud specialist team, we collaborate with the Core Palo Alto Networks account team, which manages the complete relationship with our clients.

The Prisma Cloud specialist team coordinates and collaborates with the Core team for customer engagements and opportunity management. For all Prisma Cloud opportunities, the specialist team oversees the process from start to finish while keeping the Core team informed throughout.
