Clinical Research Educator

Position Overview:
The University of Toronto is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Educator to join our esteemed team within the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. This role involves guiding second-year medical students through the intricacies of health science research, fostering their understanding and application of research methodologies to enhance health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging tutorial sessions for small groups of students, promoting collaborative learning and critical thinking.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive practicum exercise, aimed at addressing significant health research questions.
- Provide one-on-one mentorship to students, assisting them in navigating their research projects and enhancing their academic skills.
- Evaluate student performance through participation assessments, presentations, and written assignments, offering constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with the HSR Director to refine course materials and contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D., MD, or MD/Ph.D. is required.
- Proven experience in conducting research within real-world contexts.
- Strong knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- A demonstrated passion for teaching and mentoring students.
- Experience in higher education teaching and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
