Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Education Manager to join our team at Ornge. As a key member of our Clinical Affairs department, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all paramedic education initiatives and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education programs for paramedics, including critical care paramedics, flight RNs, and mental health teams.
  • Lead the simulation program, including management of simulation facilities, equipment, and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Clinical Affairs, and Associate Medical Officer(s) to develop and implement education strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the education team, including program leads, faculty educators, and simulation specialists.
  • Monitor and evaluate education programs, including student performance and program outcomes.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance education programs and services.
Requirements
  • Completion of a critical care paramedic training program or related acute regulated healthcare professional training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of independent practice in a related healthcare field, with experience in education program development and delivery.
  • Master's degree in a related field, with experience in project management and adult education.
  • Leadership and mentorship experience, with a proven track record of team building and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of the ambulance system in Ontario, including relationships between the MOH and Base Hospitals.
