About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team at General Aluminum Railing Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating high-quality aluminum railings and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Materials Requirements

Plan and procure the necessary materials for aluminum railing fabrication, ensuring timely delivery and optimal usage.

Lay Out Reference Points and Patterns

Accurately measure and mark metal sheets to ensure precise cutting and assembly of aluminum railing components.

Plan Efficient Task Sequencing

Develop a logical sequence of tasks to optimize metal cutting and minimize waste, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.

Assemble and Fit Plates and Sections

Skilfully assemble and fit aluminum plates and sections to form sturdy and durable railing structures.

Operate Heavy-Duty Metal-Working Machines

Safely and effectively operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, such as saws and drills, to cut and shape aluminum components.

Construct Patterns and Templates

Design and create accurate patterns and templates for aluminum railing fabrication, ensuring precise replication of designs.

Install Fabricated Components

Install fabricated aluminum railing components in final products, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality finishes.

Rig, Hoist, and Move Materials

Safely rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite, minimizing risk and ensuring efficient workflow.

Work Environment and Hours

Work in a fast-paced production environment, with regular hours of 30-35 hours per week, and a permanent work term.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.

Language

Fluency in English.
