Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at D & V Electronics. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial analysis, reporting, and audit support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting and Auditing: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger accounts and journal entries. Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and audit reports.
  • Inventory Management: Reconcile and balance inventory levels, including cycle counts and physical inventory counts. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Project Cost Management: Monitor and analyze project costs, including overhead, freight, and material costs. Prepare variance reports and recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders. Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and sales to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA certification is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 7+ years of accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing or similar industry. Project cost management experience is an asset.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel skills, knowledge of financial accounting principles, and experience with general ledger functions and month-end close process.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
