Position Summary:

The Systems Software Developer is responsible for delivering professional integration services and solutions for all QNX products. This role involves resolving complex technical challenges and employing innovative thinking to develop and deliver solutions for customer inquiries. The Systems Software Developer serves as a consultative partner, providing expertise, analysis, and guidance to external clients. Additionally, the developer will cultivate strong working relationships with various internal stakeholders to address issues that enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diverse troubleshooting and customer service tasks related to all QNX products (Networking, USB, Kernel, Safety, Security, Hypervisor, Graphics, IDE, tools, etc.).

- Document, support, and resolve customer inquiries regarding QNX products, escalating issues to the appropriate teams as necessary.

- Collaborate with colleagues to proactively and reactively address technical challenges, demonstrating innovative problem-solving skills.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3+ years of customer service experience in a relevant environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Technical Skills:

  • Essential: Strong C programming skills.
  • Essential: Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Essential: Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of shell scripting languages, GCC, and GDB is advantageous.
  • Experience with large projects involving high levels of integration is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and address technical issues.
  • Familiarity with POSIX/Unix operating systems and embedded software development principles.
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive matters with diplomacy, tact, and confidentiality.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded systems is a plus.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning about new technologies.
