Job Overview

In this position, you will serve as a key subject matter expert (SME) dedicated to the effective implementation of the Land Command Support System (LCSS) integration cell.

Your role will act as a liaison for Project Managers within the Director General Land Equipment Program Management and Director General Major Project Delivery (Land & Sea), facilitating the seamless integration of LCSS across various weapon platforms.

Responsibilities will include initiating service-level agreements, connecting program management with relevant desk officers, and conducting regular working group meetings focused on LCSS platform integration. You will also be responsible for tracking issues, action items, risks, and coordinating schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with platform Weapon System Managers (WSMs) to enhance their access to LCSS integration services.
  • Draft and manage Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Organize and lead Working Group meetings.
  • Serve as a staff officer for coordination efforts.
  • Engage with Working Group stakeholders to assist platform WSMs in resolving LCSS integration challenges.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to weapon platforms and LCSS integration.
  • Oversee the Action Item and Risk database.
  • Coordinate with LPIWG stakeholders to monitor and resolve Action Items.
  • Develop and maintain a master schedule for events associated with the development, integration, fielding, and support of LCSS and related weapon platforms.
  • Generate reports and presentations as required.
  • Conduct engineering and management analyses of LCSS integration issues as necessary.
  • Produce monthly reports detailing updates on all supported projects, planning engagement schedules, SLA statuses, and impact assessments of key activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Hybrid work model (2-3 days per week on-site).
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a System Specialist in Military C4ISR (Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) systems.
  • Proficient in communicating IT frameworks and strategies to both management and technical teams.
  • Ability to convey system engineering directives for various projects or systems.
  • Experience in strategic, operational, or tactical planning to align with corporate objectives.
  • A recognized STEM diploma (minimum 2 years) in networking, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a related engineering or technical field relevant to Land C4ISR.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the last decade in system engineering, meeting a minimum of four criteria from this assessment area. Demonstrated experience in planning, configuring, deploying, and managing command and control communication and information systems in distributed or client/server environments, or ISTAR systems.
  • Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues related to communication and information systems or ISTAR systems.
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions for communication and information systems or ISTAR systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and documenting system management solutions for command-and-control communication and information systems.
  • Experience in system integration, verification, and validation for hardware and software components in both new and existing systems.
  • Knowledge of life-cycle management for tactical communication and information systems or ISTAR systems.
  • Experience in providing technical advice and recommendations to support senior management decision-making.
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary teams for the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks, or strategies.
