Job Overview

In this position, you will serve as a key subject matter expert (SME) to facilitate the deployment of a Land Command Support System (LCSS) integration cell.

You will act as a liaison for Project Managers within the Director General Land Equipment Program Management and Director General Major Project Delivery (Land & Sea) to streamline the integration of LCSS across various weapon platforms.

Your responsibilities will include establishing service-level agreements, connecting program management with relevant desk officers, and organizing regular LCSS platform integration working group meetings for Project Managers to engage with essential stakeholders. You will also track issues, action items, risks, and coordinate schedules effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with platform Weapon System Managers (WSMs) to ensure their access to LCSS integration services.
  • Develop and manage Service-Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Organize and lead Working Group meetings.
  • Serve as a staff officer.
  • Coordinate with Working Group stakeholders to assist platform WSMs in resolving LCSS integration challenges.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to weapon platforms and LCSS integration.
  • Manage an Action Item and Risk database.
  • Collaborate with LPIWG stakeholders to update and close Action Items.
  • Maintain a master schedule for events related to the development, integration, fielding, and support of LCSS and associated weapon platforms.
  • Generate reports and presentations as required.
  • Conduct engineering and management analyses of LCSS integration issues as necessary.
  • Prepare monthly reports detailing updates on all supported projects, planning engagement schedules, SLA statuses, and impact assessments of key activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Hybrid work model (2-3 days per week on-site).
  • At least 5 years of proven experience as a System Specialist in Military C4ISR (Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) systems.
  • Ability to communicate IT frameworks and strategies to both management and technical teams.
  • Experience in conveying system engineering direction for projects or systems.
  • Proficient in strategic, operational, or tactical planning for projects or systems aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Possession of a minimum 2-year STEM diploma in networking, software, computer, systems, electrical, or a relevant engineering or technical field necessary for supporting Land C4ISR.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in the last decade in system engineering, meeting at least four criteria from this assessment area. Demonstrated experience in planning, configuring, deploying, and managing command and control communication and information systems in distributed platform environments or client/server settings, or ISTAR systems. Proven experience in identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex communication and information system and/or ISTAR system issues.
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions for communication and information systems or ISTAR systems.
  • Experience in developing and documenting system management solutions (tools and processes) for command-and-control communication and information systems in mobile platforms or client/server environments, or ISTAR systems.
  • Experience in system integration, verification, and validation for hardware and software components (COTS and/or custom developed) in new or existing systems.
  • Experience in life-cycle management of tactical communication and information systems, or ISTAR systems.
  • Experience providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to support senior management decision-making.
  • Participation in multi-disciplinary teams for the development of IT tactical systems, frameworks, or strategies.
