Job Title: Building Maintenance Worker

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Howard Johnson Grande Prairie.

Job Summary:

The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and adjustments to various systems and equipment within the establishment. This includes heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supervising other workers and ensuring the overall maintenance and upkeep of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and adjustments to various systems and equipment
  • Supervise other workers and ensure the overall maintenance and upkeep of the facility
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances
  • Perform safety and security checks
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
Requirements:
  • Physically demanding

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

The Building Maintenance Worker will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
