Job Summary

BITPOS Solutions Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Maintenance and Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation and Installation: Assess and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to meet the needs of our organization.
  • Problem-Solving and Support: Provide expert technical support to our network users, resolving issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform routine data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Network Setup and Optimization: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, and optimize server performance to meet the needs of our organization.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software to identify potential issues and optimize network performance.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a focus on teamwork.
