Job Title: Regional Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Controller to join our team at Black & McDonald. As a key member of our finance leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance function for the Southern Ontario Region and providing national finance leadership to our Construction operations across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to the Regional team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Sr. VP, General Managers, and Division Managers.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial support to Construction operations, including problem-solving and analysis of accounting, billing, and administrative issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate head office to ensure alignment and consistency in financial policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • CPA designation or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in senior finance roles, preferably in the Construction industry.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and data analytics, with experience in JDEdwards a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Ability to work in a decentralized environment, with a focus on problem-solving and analysis.
