About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Wellspring Health and Wellness clinic. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Administer evaluative tests and procedures to assess patients' physical abilities
    • Assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the development and implementation of treatment programs
    • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists
  • Patient Care
    • Examine patients to identify their physical needs and develop individualized care plans
    • Follow through on treatment programs with patients and provide ongoing support and guidance
    • Develop information materials for patients to promote their understanding of their treatment plans
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical history and treatment plans
    • Process files and paperwork related to patient care
    • Assist with the maintenance of equipment and supplies
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals
    • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Work Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Language
    • Fluent in English
  • Work Environment
    • Physically demanding work environment
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
