Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deskside Support Specialist to join our team at PeopleToGo. As a Deskside Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients, ensuring their IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform intermediate IMAC activities, including hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and other deployment-related tasks on PCs, laptops, printers, POS devices, and other equipment.
  • Handle software installation, support, and upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Provide deskside support services, installing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Offer 1st-level Help Desk support, responding to customer inquiries and resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Perform basic LAN and internetworking activities, ensuring secure and reliable network connectivity.
  • Handle bench repairs and remedial maintenance, ensuring equipment is restored to optimal working condition.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to diagnose problems, establish ETAs, and determine parts requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 1-2 years of field service experience in hardware roll-outs, refreshes, and deployment-related activities.
  • 1-2 years of deskside support experience, with a strong understanding of IT systems and network infrastructure.
  • Strong internetworking and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • A+ certification, with additional vendor certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and OEMs (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, HP) a plus.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks, with exceptional customer service skills and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Minimum of a Diploma from a recognized IT program, with a strong understanding of IT principles and practices.
