Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to join our team at BJRC Recruiting. As a key member of our Legal Team, you will provide administrative support to our lawyers, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage calendars, arrange travel, and handle expense management and reporting for the Legal Team.
  • Organize and schedule Board, Committee, and internal Shareholder meetings, ensuring timely preparation of agendas and materials.
  • Attend Board, Committee, and internal Shareholder meetings, taking detailed minutes and providing administrative support to Board members and Committees.
  • Aid in the preparation and submission of annual corporate filings across multiple jurisdictions, as well as the filing of insurance and corporate applications.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, including materials for Board, Committee, and Shareholder meetings, and assist the Legal Team with document preparation and related tasks.
Requirements
  • Completion of a college program in Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma program.
  • 3 to 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or legal setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professionalism and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and confidently with stakeholders at all levels, handling confidential information and situations with diplomacy and tact.
  • Strong attention to detail, including proficiency in minute-taking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, with experience with AI tools for enhanced efficiency a plus.
