Job Title: Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Teacher

Sturgeon Public Schools is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Teacher. The successful candidate will work in multiple elementary schools to provide targeted support to grade 4 students who require additional assistance with literacy and numeracy skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver instruction to small groups of students to address specific literacy and numeracy needs
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement targeted intervention strategies
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress

Requirements:

  • Qualifications and experience in teaching or education support
  • Strong knowledge of literacy and numeracy curriculum and instructional strategies
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
