Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist II, Acute Rehab

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist II to join our team in Acute Rehabilitation. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide assessment, diagnostic, and intervention services to children using advanced level clinical skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment services to children with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for children and their families.
  • Provide education and training to families and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved academic program.
  • Three years of recent experience in child development and rehabilitation.
  • Documented evidence of post-graduate education in the specified program area.
  • Registrant of the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children with complex communication and swallowing needs.
  • Knowledge of child development and language development principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
