Speech Language Pathologist II, Acute Rehabilitation Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist II to join our team at BC Children's Hospital and SunnyHill Health Centre in Vancouver, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic, and intervention services to children with communication and swallowing disorders
- Offer expert counseling and education to families and caregivers
- Lead clinical activities and promote excellence in practice
- Participate in program planning and development
- Provide mentorship and support to new staff
Requirements:
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology
- Minimum 3 years of experience in child development and rehabilitation
- Registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and inter-professional collaboration skills
- In-depth knowledge of child development and speech-language pathology
- Understanding of evidence-based practice and research methodology
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
- Commitment to Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racism initiatives
