We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary Allied Health team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide direct intervention for inpatients, outpatients, and residents with communication and swallowing problems.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs using appropriate assessment instruments.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to identify treatment goals and provide effective communication with all staff.
- Educate patients, families, and staff about communication and swallowing deficits and provide suggestions for ongoing management.
- Maintain an organized work environment and schedule patient/family treatment sessions according to caseload guidelines.
- Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to provide supervision and teaching to students.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
