Overview

The Sales Data Analyst at PepsiCo plays a pivotal role in supporting the Key Account Manager for Metro Qc, providing essential assistance to both the Quebec and Ontario sales teams. This position is crucial for meeting PBC's objectives regarding volume, profitability, and market share across the Metro Inc banners. The analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth data analysis and working collaboratively across departments to ensure precise visibility of profit and loss through proactive forecasting and post-event assessments.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Total Metro team, including the Strategy Team, through various weekly tasks.
  • Generate and present innovation reports.
  • Compile and analyze scan reports.
  • Prepare weekly communications that highlight recognition and readiness for innovation.
  • Update forecasting data in Prosper or other internal systems.
  • Conduct quarterly updates of forecasts in Prosper or similar systems.
  • Perform post-analysis on field programs, collecting data and insights to assess program effectiveness and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Manage and refresh the Merchmap for all customers under charge, ensuring alignment between MerchMap, Prosper, and our CDW.
  • Engage in financial reconciliation with FOBOs.
  • Facilitate the accurate creation and maintenance of the CDW.
  • Address any discrepancies in invoices and credits to stores.
  • Assist in the processing of FFP payments, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions in partnership with the finance team.
  • Monitor and follow up on deliveries, collaborating with the Pepsi Direct team and SDL to guarantee prompt and precise shipments to customers.
  • Support the management and execution of the PepsiCo Direct Order process, ensuring efficient and accurate order handling.
  • Coordinate the deployment of Equipment Merchandising Options (EMO) for new store openings, working with cross-functional teams.
  • Aid in the transition process during changes in store ownership, ensuring a seamless transfer of operational responsibilities.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by the Key Account Manager or the Director of Sales for Small Format or Metro-Drugs-West.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A university degree, preferably in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint), as well as experience with Nielsen and Precima.
  • Experience in managing financial databases and generating insightful reports.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong collaborative and team-building capabilities.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Flexibility to meet expanded time requirements when necessary.
  • Fluency in English; bilingualism in French is an asset.
