Regional Sales Manager

DMC Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in the western region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Strategic Sales Objectives: Collaborate with the North American sales team to develop and execute strategic sales objectives for the western region.
  • Support Sales Programs: Develop and implement sales programs to support North American sales initiatives and satellite projects.
  • Direct Sales Execution: Direct sales teams to execute the company's sales philosophy and process, ensuring a high standard of relationship selling for growth in core segments.
  • Build a Sales Culture: Foster a sales culture focused on delivering results by providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development of technical sales advisors.
  • Identify Business Opportunities: Identify business potential and ensure its development in existing and/or new markets to achieve sales targets and market share.
  • Encourage Accountability: Execute weekly team huddles, monthly CRM project meetings, quarterly target development meetings, and yearly performance reviews to encourage accountability among sales teams.
  • Deliver Regular Communication: Provide regular communication to the National Sales Manager regarding feedback from the field on products, market, and competition activities.
  • Meet with Key Accounts: Meet with larger target accounts to discuss customer needs, assess the quality of our relationship, and develop ways to support the Forbo value proposition.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or related discipline, or 5+ years of related business development experience in the construction industry and 2+ years sales management experience.
  • Project Management: Proficient in managing larger projects with longer sales cycles, in both private and public sectors.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents, and construction drawings and documents. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Industry Knowledge: Essential to have a working knowledge of the construction industry, players, and processes in Western Canada.
  • Location: Preference to be based in Vancouver/Calgary, but open to other Western Canadian cities based on strength of candidate profile.
  • Travel: Must be able to travel the entire western territory on a continual basis.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management and team members in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously, efficiently, and effectively managing a diversified workload and challenging situations.
  • Customer Relationships: Must thrive on building lasting customer relationships that develop into sales and growth in the territory.
  • Team Player: Be an active, engaged team player with an entrepreneurial spirit, resulting in positive contribution to the national sales results.
