Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists and technicians in filling prescriptions, assisting patients, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists and technicians in filling prescriptions and maintaining accurate records
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Enter, scan, and process prescriptions using Kroll Pharmacy software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate data in pharmacy files and computer drives, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies
  • Verify that customers receive the correct prescription(s) and address any discrepancies promptly
  • Contribute to a positive and productive team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers, providing accurate and helpful information
  • Screen telephone calls for pharmacists, ensuring that urgent matters are addressed promptly
  • Order, receive, and maintain inventory of medications, adhering to company protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review invoices and other documentation, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues
  • Pack and ship prescription orders according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Maintain pharmacy records, adhering to regulatory standards and company policies
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal and contractual obligations
  • Assist with general housekeeping and administrative duties, contributing to a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy experience an asset
  • Proficiency in Kroll Pharmacy software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) an asset
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Bilingualism (French/English) an asset
